8/13/23 MHA Showcase – Kind of a choppy stride, his skating could use improvement. However, he is able to make up for it quite a bit with his hands and puck skills. Made a nifty move that ended up splitting the D and springing himself on a breakaway. Would like to see Blackwood make a few more “team” type plays — give-and-go, cycle plays, drop-pass off the rush, back-door finds.
